The rancher who shot and killed a Yellowstone wolf gives up his permit to shoot a second wolf on his property. MTN's Judy Slate has been following this story since the wolf was killed. and spoke with rancher Bill Hoppe on Tuesday about his decision.

A Gardiner rancher who shot and killed a wolf after he lost 13 sheep to wolves last month is forfeiting his permit to shoot a second wolf. Bill Hoppe's shoot-on-site permit was originally set to expire on June 8, but instead will expire on May 18.
