Bitterroot National Forest spokesperson Tod McKay says that the 210-acre project is thinning and removing beetle killed and infested trees, and that the work is needed because the trees present a hazard to the public.

Jason Washington is headed back to court in connection with his one-time medical marijuana business. The Ravalli County Attorney's Office has filed charges against for criminal distribution of marijuana, and for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.
