KALISPELL - ImagineIf library is noticing a tremendous difference in community engagement and support since their 2014 rebranding efforts.

The Flathead County Library changed its name to ImagineIF as part of a rebranding campaign to increase circulation, donations and program attendance.

"The goals we're to change the perception of the library community to create an environment that encourages people to actively engage; to explore the world around them; to have a place of community where people can come, connect and be social and honor different types of learning," explained Assistant Library Director Connie Behe.

She says schools are changing the way students learn nowadays and it's important to reflect that, "so, for us to change and be able to provide that here is unique and important to remain relevant to our changing community and reflect the needs of people."

Since the program launched just six months ago, the library has seen a 32% increase in program enrollment.

"We had two people on the front porch of the library actually brewing beer. People can come and experience that hands on. So, that kind of thing peaked peoples interest and got them to come in. So, I think that the hands on learning and programs is something that we got right," Behe said.
