BILLINGS -

A 15 year-old boy is dead after he was shot early Sunday morning.

The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on the 200 block of Alderson Avenue in a residential area of downtown Billings.

Authorities say the teen was taken to St. Vincent Hospital, but died a short time later. There's no word yet as to where the boy was actually shot.

Investigators cordoned off the area of the house where the incident happened, and we are told a 17-year-old suspect was taken into custody for questioning, but has since been released pending further investigation.

Police have not identified the teens and investigators say they are still trying to piece together what happened.

This is the fourth shooting death in Billings in 2015.
