DEER LODGE -

A former University of Montana football player who was sentenced to 10 years in the Montana State prison for rape has been moved to a boot camp.

Beau Donaldson will be serving 100 days at the Treasure State Correctional Training Center in Deer Lodge, according to the Montana Board of Pardons and Parole.

Board members denied Donaldson’s parole in May, but had recommended Donaldson for boot camp.

Missoula Judge Karen Townsend sentenced Donaldson in January of 2013 to 30 years in the Montana State Prison, with 20 years suspended, after he pleaded guilty to raping a friend at his home.
