About 50 people rallied on Saturday against bringing Syrian refugees to Western Montana in a show of force outside the Missoula County Courthouse.

The American Security Rally was the second one of its kind this year with some carrying signs saying its not an issue of hate and racism, but of logic and truth.

The group members have expressed concern the federal government would not vet the refugees carefully enough and put citizens here in danger.

There were also those supporting the Syrian community and their struggles in the midst of war in their homeland at the event -- calling for humanity.

County commissions in Flathead and Ravalli counties are on record of not supporting re-settlement here.

"We support immigration, but we support immigration after the war is over, and really the bottom line is this, that in the mid east we're already at war with ISIS and the jihadists, so it's really foolish to take immigrants in. I think we should take immigrants in after the war is over," Montanan Gary Carlson said.

Saturday's rally was one of several around the area in the past month, both for and against the possibility of resettling refugees to Montana.
