COLUMBIA FALLS -
If you can't get your kids to go to the library this summer, here's a trick..remind them there may be Pokemon there.
Pokemon Go asks players to wander their real-world neighborhoods on the hunt for the animated monsters made famous years ago by cartoons, video games and trading cards
Some spots can help you progress faster than others, including what game designers call "gyms" -- in fact, one local Pokemon gym is located at the Columbia Falls Public Library.
Branch Manager Tony Edmundson says players have been trickling in all week, and has been hearing about them through downtown Kalispell.
“And a lady walked in and she was doing the Pokemon walk. She had the whole thing down here; lots of grinning; lots of swiping; lots of panning around. So, I could tell she was playing and I totally called her on it.”
A real battle brewed Wednesday afternoon as three teens came in. They said the Yellows had taken over the gym outside from the Reds, and that they -- as Blues -- were preparing to take it over from them.
The app already has more users than Twitter in the United States.
