Flathead adoption group being honored in DC ceremony

An adoption organization based in the Flathead Valley has been selected to be recognized for their services in a ceremony on Wednesday in Washington D.C. 

Child Bridge finds and supports foster and adoptive families for Montana's kids who are in need. 

The kids are victims of abuse or neglect in their homes and are removed and in need of a new family to take them into their homes and care for them. 

Tomorrow he organization will be will be honored as an Angel in Adoption in a ceremony after both Senator Jon Tester and Representative Ryan Zinke designated the organization to be recognized. 

Mission Advancement Coordinator Jenna Taylor says there's a need for foster families right now. 

"What we have seen is that when a child can be placed in a supported and well-informed family that that child has an opportunity to grab onto that hope and to have a whole new transformation for their life and a new chance," Taylor said. 

This is the first time the Angel in Adoption designation has ever been awarded to an organization in Montana.
