New invasive mussel larvae is suspected in the Missouri River south of Canyon Ferry.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks says the tests were from the York's Island Fishing Access site south of Townsend.

An earlier test in Canyon Ferry Reservoir came back inconclusive, but samples from Tiber Reservoir near Shelby, have been confirmed to have mussel larva.

This is the first time Montana waters have tested positive for invasive mussels.

Waterways in Glacier National Park were closed to boats earlier this month to protect against the threat.
