MISSOULA -

The Missoula City Council has approved an agreement to develop a new hotel and conference center on the Riverfront Triangle despite some public objections.

Hotel Fox Partners would build the 200-room hotel with the city running the attached conference center.

Speakers questioned the city getting involved in the deal on Monday evening. But, council members said they still feel it's best to press forward since the land has been unused for over 30-years.

The Missoula City Council unanimously approving the developer's agreement during their Monday meeting.
