A pair of local ski areas saw record numbers of skiers this season.

Whitefish Mountain Resort announced Monday that it set a new record with more than 346,000 total skier visits, beating its previous record by more than 1,500. The ski area also set a new record for skier visits in a single day with 8,601 on December 30, 2016.

The resort also received 407 inches of snowfall, its second best snowfall total in 20 years.
