MISSOULA -

We’re just one day away from the 59th annual American Associates of University Women and Phi Delta Kappa Book Sale.

The doors of Missoula’s Orchard Homes Clubhouse will open at 10 a.m., and like most years, a line of readers will be anxiously waiting outside ready to pick out their books of choice.

Book donations of all genres come in throughout the year with a big push the week before the event.  All the proceeds from the book sale go to scholarships at the University of Montana, and to education-based projects.

Co-chair Nancy Zadra says she loves to see how giving the community is year after year.

“You can leave here with lots and lots of books, and I talk with people and they tell me, “Yes, I can come and get a big stack of reading for the coming year and then the next year I bring it all back and donate it," Zadra said.

The book sale runs from Thursday through Sunday with the last day featuring the opportunity for shoppers to get a full bag of books for $10.
