Missoula's DUI Task Force received a funding boost from State Farm Insurance.

Representatives from Missoula State Farm Offices presented a $5,000 Good Neighbor Citizenship Program Grant to the task force during their "Choose Your Ride" event at the University of Montana.

Students were able to see a variety of ride options, including Uber and UDash, to use in order to avoid impaired driving.

Representatives from local law enforcement also spoke to students about their experiences with impaired and distracted driving and the dangers of not wearing seat belts.

"Seat belts save lives. You stay in the car, you have a very good chance of surviving the crash. Even a rollover crash. If you get ejected you have a very small chance of surviving," Said Sgt. Greg Amundson with the Missoula Police.

The event was organized by the Peers Reaching Out to Students group at the University of Montana.
