KALISPELL -

Authorities say the body found in Flathead Lake earlier this week is a man who was reportedly pushed to his death into the Flathead River in April.

Flathead Sheriff Chuck Curry detailed in a release that 34-year-old Anthony Andrew Walthers was found by boaters about a mile and half offshore from the mouth of the Flathead River Monday.

Cecil Thomas Rice is accused of pushing Walthers to his death near Evergreen. Rice has been charged with deliberate homicide. Rice's girlfriend, Heather Joy Meeker is charged with felony tampering with evidence.

Walthers was last seen struggling in the water downstream of the Old Steel Bridge.
