Man killed in crash near Pablo ID'd

Authorities have released the name of the man who was killed in a Saturday night crash near Pablo.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says that  Bryan Raymond Gaskins, 47, of Polson died in the accident that happened just before 10:00 p.m. on Skyline Drive and Light Road.

The driver of the vehicle, who has not been identified, is being treated at a local hospital for the injuries he received in the crash.

Officials say speed and alcohol contributed to the car accident that left a man dead near Pablo on Saturday night. The Montana Highway Patrol reports they responded to the accident around 10 p.m.

Officials say the vehicle was traveling south near the Pablo Reservoir on an unnamed road when the driver lost control of the Oldsmobile. The vehicle reportedly went off the road and rolled.

The passenger was a 47-year-old man from Kent, Washington who authorities say was partially ejected from the vehicle and died. The driver is a 70-year-old man from Pablo was hurt in the crash.

The MHP id continuing to investigate the incident.
