FORSYTH -

A crash west of Forsyth on Thursday left three people dead.

The crash happened on Interstate 94 in the westbound lane around 12:30 p.m.

According to Montana Highway Patrol, a pair of SUVs was headed westbound when one driver attempted to pass the other vehicle.

The leading SUV “bumped” the vehicle it was passing, sending that vehicle off the road. The SUV that was hit rolled, according to MHP, and all three occupants were killed. The driver of the SUV that made a bad pass was not injured.

MHP did not indicate whether anyone involved was from Montana and no names of the victims were released. The victims are all adults, according to MHP.

No arrests were made and no citations were issued as of Thursday afternoon.
