Ranchers help those affected by drought and fire in eastern Montana

Posted: Updated:

Montana ranchers are helping fellow agricultural producers affected by wildfires.

Areas such as Glasgow and Jordan were hit hard by drought and the Lodgepole Complex fire.

Jordan Alexander and some friends and colleagues donated hay to families in need.

Alexander traveled to eastern Montana on Wednesday to donate five tons of hay.

He said he could see miles of burned pasture land and zero feed for livestock.

“I’m sure they will come out of it just fine but there are still a lot of ranchers out there that are still hurting,” Alexander said.

One of the biggest needs is for hay haulers to take forage to ranchers in need.
