A Florida man in Missoula for work for Northstar amusement carnival was arrested Thursday afternoon after leading police on a high speed chase through town.

53-year-old Michael Andrew Singer is charged with criminal endangerment, fleeing from police, failure to stop at the scene of an accident and DUI.

Prosecutors say in court documents that 911 dispatch received several calls of a man driving erratically through Missoula neighborhoods while driving on a rim without a tire.

At some point, the Jeep he was driving crashed into another vehicle, injuring the driver, but Singer kept driving.

Soon after law enforcement were able to catch up with him and continued pursuit him until they were able to get him stopped near the Southgate Mall.

Singer told police he was high on meth and hadn't slept for four days.

Singer is being held on $150,000 bail.
