SEELEY LAKE - The waters of Seeley Lake have once again been closed due to the Rice Ridge fire.
Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks announced Sunday that they have temporarily closed Seeley Lake to all public use.
The closure is to clear the lake of all activity, keeping the public clear of fire suppression planes and helicopters.
FWP will reopen the lake to public use when Rice Ridge fire managers say that suppression efforts no longer require the lake to be clear.
The Rice Ridge fire has burned over 132,700 acres and prompted evacuation orders and warnings in Missoula and Powell counties.
