KALISPELL - After a year-long of expansion and remodeling, a popular department store in Kalispell is set to reveal a new look while also looking to spur revitalization downtown.
The Herberger’s store in Kalispell Center Mall has completed work that began last summer to double its size. The store remained open during the expansion from 40,000 square feet to 80,000 square feet.
The new addition features a more spacious floor plan, comfort seating areas around the fitting rooms and updated décor.
Store manager Gary Evans says while many department stores have announced plans to scale down or even close, Herberger’s has chosen to add more space to offer a better shopping experience for customers.
"It's something that we've felt we needed for many years here in Kalispell and the great partnership we have with the mall ownership group. We thought it was the best thing to do at this time. We really needed the additional space for our customers here in Kalispell," Evans said.
