BUTTE - The body of the missing retired Butte Police Officer was located early Monday.
Tim Tracy, 52, was found in the area of Homestake Lake, east of Butte.
A press release from Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff Ed Lester said the cause of death appeared to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Butte police are attempting to locate retired Butte police officer Timothy Tracy, age 52.
Tim is 5'6" tall, 160 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen approximately 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19. He left his Butte residence to go for a ride.
Tim is driving a 2013 silver Ford F-150 pickup with Montana license plates 1-42108A.
