TURAH - An early Wednesday morning accident on Interstate 90 east of Bonner left one person dead, and two others injured.
Authorities received a report of a wrong-way driver just before 6 a.m.when a pick-up truck was spotted driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-90.
The accident occurred about one mile from the Bonner exit. Three vehicles were involved, two of which were in a head-on collision…
“The Highlander up there was passing a semi and hit that truck head-on, and then a third vehicle swerved off the right-hand shoulder, hitting the guardrail, to avoid a collision with the other vehicles," Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jacob Parks told MTN News.
The two other people hurt in the crash were taken to Saint Patrick Hospital in Missoula. There's no word yet on the extent of their injuries.

The Missoula County Sheriff's Office reports they that a wrong-way driver was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-90 crashed head-on into another vehicle. One person has been pronounced dead following the crash.
The Montana Highway Patrol responded to the crash, which is approximately 11 miles east of Missoula shortly before 6 a.m. on Wednesday.
Westbound traffic is completely blocked at this time and being diverted off I-90 at the Bonner exit while the crash is being investigated.
