FRENCHTOWN - Authorities are investigating a series of racist and violent threats made by a Frenchtown High School student.
The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office reports on Tuesday a student "recently posted inappropriate, violent and racist content via her social media," according to a statement on the agency's Facebook page.
The Sheriff's Office has begun an investigation and are working with the Missoula County Attorneys Office to determine what, if any, charges will be filed in the case.
The Sheriff's Office post adds, "The MCSO school resource officer is working closely with the Frenchtown School administration to maintain the safety of the students and faculty. These postings are troublesome and we are taking this matter very seriously as we do all matters of public safety."
We will have more information on this developing story as it becomes available.
