Missoula event helps Montana Special Olympics

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - ReStyle Clothing Exchange and Loyola High School students teamed up to offer great deals for an even better cause on Sunday.

Hundreds of community members lined up outside the catholic school's athletic center to find clothes that have been donated by ReStyle. It cost $10 for a 13 gallon bag that you could fill with any items you wanted.

ReStyle has been gathering donated garments for over five months in preparation for this event. this year.

“In the past, we've had to pay several hundred dollars for a facility, and with partnering with Loyola, they were very generous in donating the space and also donating volunteers," said organizer Alice Downey.

"It helps a lot of community members get quality clothing at affordable prices and in return are able to donate money to a great cause and at the same time this whole thing is recycling clothing," Downey added.

All of the proceeds from this year's event go directly to Montana Special Olympics to help fund local athletes.
