PLAINS - A memorial for the Plains/Hot Springs High School wrestling coach killed in a car crash will be held this weekend.

Plains Schools superintendent Thom Chisholm says the memorial for Kenny Marjerrison will be held Sunday, Nov. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Plains High School Gymnasium. It is open to the public.

Marjerrison was the IT Director and head coach for the Plains/Hot Springs High School wrestling team.

Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Chan Barry reports Marjerrison was driving a Subaru on Oct. 25th  northbound on U.S. Highway 93 and, for an unknown reason, veered into the southbound lanes and struck a Toyota truck.

The male driver of the Toyota truck was sent to a hospital with unknown conditions.

Barry told MTN News that both drivers were wearing their seat belt and neither drugs nor alcohol are considered to be factors in the crash.

Traffic on both sides of Highway 93 was stopped and slowed for nearly three hours. The crash is still under investigation.
