HELENA - A Malta man has been cited for negligent endangerment and discharging a firearm in city limits after accidentally firing a handgun in a Helena residence.
The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office reports officers responded to the residence on the 10 block of South Ewing Street on Friday evening.
The 30-year-old man allegedly forgot to unload his pistol before disassembling it and fired a round into a nearby wall.
No one was injured and the man's name has not been released.
