A Texas man was arrested after deputies came across a crash on Interstate 90 and later found 14.5 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.
Stephen Snyder, 26, was arrested by Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office deputies after they saw a pickup truck slide off Interstate 90 near mile marker 303, just before the 19th Ave. exit.
During their investigation, deputies became suspicious that the vehicle contained illegal drugs because of Snyder and another occupant’s conflicting stories about where they were coming from and where they had met. One of them smelled of burnt marijuana.
Snyder was charged with criminal possession with intent to distribute. He appeared in Gallatin County Justice Court on Wednesday. Bond was set at $45,000.
