Large downtown Missoula project proposal moving along

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - The proposed Hotel Fox development is another step closer to reality, with a Missoula City Council committee agreeing to send the project on to the full council for a vote.

The Missoula Redevelopment Agency was briefed on the latest plans, and development agreements, with Hotel Fox Partners last week. The plans are for an $80 million hotel and conference center on the Riverfront Triangle property on the west side of downtown Missoula.

The project would involve an agreement where the city provides the land and Hotel Fox Partners builds and operates the conference center for the city. The project, which includes the full-service hotel, restaurants, condominiums and parking garage now goes to the full city council for a vote Monday night.

It’s still expected to be another 18-months before construction could begin if the Missoula City Council signs off on the proposal.
