Missoula Pediatric Dentistry makes veterans smile

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - Missoula Pediatric Dentistry will be providing free exams, oral health advice, cleaning and x-rays from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Dr. Susan Tiede is the owner of Missoula Pediatric Dentistry and a United States Navy veteran. She said her office has always offered discounts to veterans and active service members, but this is the first year of what they hope will turn into an annual event.

The staff all volunteered to work extra hours and their kids will also help give out coffee and cookies while people wait to be seen by a dentist. Dr. Tiede and her staff aim to provide resources and help connect veterans to low-cost continuing services.

“It was just a wonderful opportunity to be able to reach out with special skills and services that we can provide to treat a population that is severely underserved," Tiede said.
