BILLINGS - Police on Monday identified the man whose body was found decapitated last week in Billings.

Myron Wesley Knight, 41, is the name of the Billings man whose body was found wrapped in a carpet Nov. 15 in an area that appeared to be a homeless camp.

Police also announced Monday that a $1,000 reward for information on the man's death is being offered. Anyone with information can contact the Billings police detective division at (406) 657-8473 or CrimeStoppers (406) 245-6660.

On Thursday, Billings police confirmed the body was male and said an autopsy would be conducted to aid in the investigation. Police have not released information about possible suspects.

Two people walking in the area discovered the body, which was partially covered, according to Billings Police Captain Jeremy House.

Witness Ty Nelson said he and his friend, Dustin Lapp, were walking through the area looking items that may have been stolen from his truck recently. They were snooping around, picked up a piece of carpet, then saw the body.
