Elle's Belles: What's next after being featured on Oprah?

BOZEMAN - Baking guru Elle Fine exudes joy -- you can feel her passion for what she does.

Everything is made from scratch -- by hand -- with lots of labor and love, “how can you not be happy about sweets, right?” asked Fine.

You may recognize here golden pipes from the radio airwaves – hosting numerous shows over the years, but the multi-talented Elle Fine was born with a knack for baking -- and one day just clicked.

“So, I woke up one morning and I just said out loud ‘Elle's Belles cookies’. And I called a mentor of mine whom I work for throughout my 20s and said ‘what do you think?!’ Fine recalled.

“She responded, ‘that’s the best idea you’ve ever had to go get started today!’ So I rented kitchen space at night. I would work in radio during the day and then in the middle of the night I would bake. I was hustling! Fine laughed.

We wanted to know about her busiest time of the year,  but she’s always busy and doesn’t slow down.

“Exceptionally busy [at] Christmas and during the summer months -- and pretty much every holiday, because of course not only in town we have a large demand for holiday cookies but we also ship a lot,” Fine said.

That hustle not only has paid off, but it’s turned into a rocket ship blasting off! EB products are shipped around the country and the popularity and quality of our products caught someone else’s eye.

“I got an email from one of Oprah’s editors -- in the magazine. And they said they wanted cookies and wanted us to send them some stuff,” Fine said.

Then she got the call! OPRAH wanted EB to top her O LIST, featured in a magazine it’s over his favorites and must have items. Not only has Elle’s clientele reputation in the business grown -- her skill set has grown as well.

"I love weddings! Some people are a little scared of them, but I love them. It’s so sweet to be a part of the warm fuzzy happy part of someone’s wedding celebration!” Elle said. “I just love it for a family celebrating such a really big special time in their lives and a lot of times it’s a cake and a full dessert bar.

“I have actually had a couple…say to me ‘how do you do it?’ They think it’s just me! And I’m like ‘oh no! There are a lot of people here!’ This kind of thing does not happen without an amazing team and I have an amazing, uber-talented team, and a group of people that I am so proud to work with and so grateful for every day,” Elle said.

“I really, really love it when people enjoy what we create! I see that and I feel that they share it and it just makes people happy! And that is my inspiration, yeah!” Elle told MTN News.
