BIG SKY - The Big Sky Community Organization (BSCO) has purchased the 7.5 acres of the Beehive Basin Trail.
The organization closed on the land Tuesday and now owns a total of 91 acres in Big Sky. All of this land is for public use.
Throughout the winter months, BSCO will make plans for trail improvements and begin making those improvements by Fall 2018.
The funding for the project will come from private donations and grants. BSCO currently manages the Big Sky Community Park, Historic Crail Ranch, Kircher Discovery Park, and Ousel Falls.
