SUPERIOR - Law enforcement are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning near Superior.
The Mineral County Sheriff's Office reports that there is no threat to public safety.
Mineral County Sheriff Mike Boone says deputies and the Montana Highway Patrol responded to a call of a male injured from a gunshot.
The male was initially taken to Mineral Community Hospital before being transferred to another facility for surgery.
Sheriff Boone says the victim is intensive care and at this time no suspect is in custody.
The Montana Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation into the shooting.
