5 accused of burglarizing deceased person's home near Polson

POLSON - Five people are facing charges after authorities say they burglarized a home belonging to a person who recently passed away.

Lake County deputies responded to reports on a vehicle slide-in in the Polson area at 12:30 a.m. on Friday.

Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says noticed that the stuck pickup truck was near a home belonging to a recently deceased individual and that footprints were seen between the vehicle and this home. 

Deputies also observed that there were numerous tools and other items in the back of this pickup, placed on top of fresh snow, according to Bell. Further investigation revealed that the individuals had burglarized the residence of the decedent and had taken these belongings from the home. 

Five people were then arrested at the scene.

Glenn Reum, 63, of Polson was arrested for burglary, Bryan Williams, 30, of Pablo was arrested for burglary and Obstructing a Peace Officer for providing false identifying information. Annie Couture, 51, of Pablo and Ida Couture 21, of Pablo, were arrested on burglary charges.

Sheriff Bell added that Alyscia Cloudrobe, 23, of Polson was arrested for burglary and after being released from jail was arrested by Tribal Police on an outstanding warrant

The Montana Highway Patrol and Polson Police Department aided in the incident, according to Sheriff Bell.
