KALISPELL - A new candidate is gunning for the seat of Flathead County Sheriff.

Former Flathead County Undersheriff and co-founder of Two Bear Air, Jordan White, has announced his candidacy.

White has lived in the Flathead Valley most of his life and has 19 years of law enforcement experience.

Flathead Sheriff Chuck Curry appointed White to the position of Undersheriff when Curry was elected in 2010. Curry has recently told MTN News that he has not yet decided whether or not to seek re-election.

White resigned his appointed position in 2012 to create Two Bear Air Rescue, a helicopter rescue program that serves Montana and Idaho. He left Two Bear Air in 2017 to further his career in law enforcement.

White will host a campaign launch at the Split Rock Café in Kalispell on Thursday Jan. 25.
