MISSOULA - The Missoula Fairgrounds will be receiving $105,282 to upgrade some of its facilities.
Governor Steve Bullock announced the approval of the Tourism Grant Program that will allocate $750,000 to enhance tourism around the state.
This grant is aimed to help improve Montana’s economy through the development of its tourism and recreation industry. Eligible applicants include arts, culture, heritage preservation, visitor facilities upgrades and niche product development.
Other projects that received funding include upgrading ice surfaces in Philipsburg, improving the Ravalli County Museum, restoring the Ronan Arch and many others.
Thanks to this new grant program, the Commercial building at the fairgrounds will receive a makeover and an elevator.
These upgrades should allow the building to hold more events and allow the use of the second level for all the events at the fairgrounds.
