KALISPELL - Glacier National Park saw more folks than ever visiting the area with people from all over the country -- and even the world -- and the airport also saw a lot of people come through the doors.
Based on a recent annual passenger percentage growth report, Glacier Park International Airport has been named as Montana’s fastest growing airport with a nearly 9.5% increase in traveler counts in 2017.
The airport saw just under 540,000 passengers during the year, compared to just under 493,000 travelers in 2016. GPIA also saw a record number of departing passengers in every month of 2017, except March.
United Airlines also just recently added to the airlines that fly in and out of the Flathead Valley.
