MISSOULA - Missoula County announced Friday that they have hired a new elections administrator.

Commissioners selected Dayna Causby after several rounds of screenings and interviews.

Former Elections Administrator Rebecca Connors announced last November that she was moving to Helena to be closer to her husband’s job.

Causby is currently the Cleveland County Director of Elections in Shelby, North Carolina.

According to a press release from Missoula County, Causby began working in elections in 2012 during North Carolina’s “No-Excuse Absentee” early voting period and advanced quickly in the field of elections administration.

She received the National Certified Elections Registration Administrator certification in 2015.

Causby will take up her new position on March 1.
