New Missoula Co. Elections Administrator brings experience to post

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - The seat for Missoula County Elections Administrator is being filled by an experienced director from North Carolina.

Dayna Causby, who has served Cleveland County for four years, was selected based on her "logistical experience" to replace Rebecca Connors, who left in December.

Missoula County spokeswoman Anne Hughes says the decision was tough, but that she was impressed by Causby’s experience for the very critical position.

“Well, all three candidates were so incredibly strong, and it's a really great problem have when you have really great people who have strong qualifications. It's a pretty critical position for Missoula County and for the voters in the county," Hughes said. "She's really interested in continuous improvement, so… finding ways to refine and hone processes.”

Montana's primary election for 2018 is June 5 and the general election is Nov. 6.
