Missoulians stocking up for the Super Bowl

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - Soda and chips have been flying off the shelves this weekend as folks across the nation get ready for the Super Bowl.

The event brings creative football-themed displays alongside a huge demand for appetizers, snacks and drinks -- and local businesses have been getting ready to handle the influx of party going football fans.

"Super Bowl season's one of those times where it's really about snacks. It's the king snack holiday. So, we sell everything from dip to anything that can be served on a plate as an appetizer or a snack, so chips, dip, all that good stuff," said Missoula Fresh Market manager Andrew Hill.

"January is one of those months that slows down for us after the holidays, and the Super Bowl kinda announces a business coming back...we're just prepared for a really good busy weekend," he added.
