One Class at a Time: Lewis and Clark Elementary

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA - Lewis and Clark Elementary P.E. teacher Mary Jane McAllister likes to keep her students moving.

She recently introduced them to a game they love. Her students break into two teams, each with a set of bowling pins with the goal of trying to knock down their opponents' pins first. The game is played a quick pace, and more importantly, she says it keeps her students entertained.

McAllister recently applied for a One Class at a Time sponsored by Republic Services and KPAX-TV to buy her own set of pins. She is this week’s winner and was awarded a $250 check by Republic Services Municipal Market Manager Chad Bauer and KPAX-TV General Manager Bob Hermes.

“In order to do it, I’ve had to borrow bowling pins from other P.E. teachers, so this allows me to buy my own and have the opportunity to use that, and I found some other bowling pin games that are really fun, too, so I’m excited to have my own set of bowling pins,” McAllister said.
