Severe Winter Weather To Impact SW Montana Tonight

An Arctic cold front will hit SW Montana tonight and produce hazardous travel weather into Friday morning.

STORM IMPACTS:

  • Rain/Snow possible ahead of storm Thursday afternoon
  • Arctic front to move between 6 pm and midnight across SW Montana
  • Rapid temperature drop could produce FLASH FREEZING on all roadways
  • Snow is likely at all levels into Friday morning
  • Friday morning commute will be hazardous to impossible for those that travel over mountain passes

Greatest impacts in SW Montana will likely be in Jefferson, Broadwater and Meagher counties. WINTER STORM WARNING is up for those three counties in SW Montana. Warnings also cover much of central and eastern Montana.

Winter Weather Advisories are up for Gallatin county and the Butte/Blackfoot region.
