Annual home show returns to Missoula

Posted: Updated:

MISSOULA -  Counter tops, sprinklers and Jacuzzis stuffed the Hilton Garden Inn this weekend as the Missoula Building Industry Association held their annual home show.

The event featured informational talks hosted by experts in fields relating to home construction and remodeling and the hall was packed with vehicles and kiosks and bricks as vendors discussed their goods.

The MBIA has brought vendors and builders in varied trades together for a public showcase since 2006 with event chair Sheila Callahan saying it's a unique experience to see all these businesses together.

“It's a big deal to be able to see all of the builders and contractors in one place because as the building season heats up that's hard to do. This is a community effort we have builders we have lenders," Callahan said.

I'm a member of the media. We’re involved, we're giving back to the community and we're really trying to emphasize that it's important to do our very best work in Missoula and that's what our members do," she added.

The MBIA is planning to host another event later this year -- the Home Parade.
