MISSOULA - Sentinel High School is holding a pre-planned lockdown drill on Friday.

Missoula County Public Schools reports the drill is scheduled to take place several times throughout the year. A message sent Thursday to parents of Sentinel students noted that the drill was scheduled prior to last week's Florida school shooting.

Friday's exercise will include concise directions given over our public address system about locking down, remaining quiet and out of sight, and following the teacher’s instructions.

The building administration team along with the Sentinel School Resource Officer will supervise the drill and be available to answer questions. MCPS administrators are also encouraging parents to discuss the drill and other safety procedures with students.
