Despite rumors, no threats made at Plains schools

Posted: Updated:

PLAINS - A concerned parent reached out to MTN News inquiring about a school threat at Plains High School last week.

We spoke to Plains school superintendent Tom Chisholm Tuesday about the alleged threat and he told us the information that is circulating on social media is false.

Chisholm told us that there was graffiti found in a restroom at the school but was nothing out of the ordinary. He added the graffiti did not include any direct threat to the school or any individual.

Chisholm said three students were disciplined on Friday,  which he says may have been misinterpreted by parents in the community has something more serious.
