Donations sought for Northern Cheyenne Tribe

The Northern Cheyenne Tribe announced it has opened an emergency operations center and is accepting donations.

The action was taken following severe winter weather which has impacted the tribe, according to a press release.

Tribal members are in need of emergency supplies, including firewood and livestock feed.

Donations can be made by contacting the Northern Cheyenne Tribe Disaster and Emergency Services Department at (406) 740-2625 or (406) 477-4938.

  • 4 trucks loads of emergency heating wood donated, Police Department will cut, split and distribute to:

  • LIHEAP & Police Department list

  • If you need wood contact Randy Elliott at LDPD to see if you are on the distribution list.

  • Access to propane tanks only (plowing/shoveling) Call 477-8979

  • Electricity: If shut off during the state of emergency call 477-4871


  • Food supplies limited. Please contact your District Representative to receive food request form for emergency food delivery.
