Helena native Matt Flanders is producing an independent feature film about Ted Kaczynski (known by most as the Unabomber) and his time in Montana, and is conducting a casting call in Missoula on Sunday.
Flanders said he is casting in Montana to “try and keep it in the family, lend a sense of authenticity to the project, and to bring some film to Montana.”
There is no fee to audition, no experience necessary, and it is a paid opportunity if you are selected. It is set to be filmed in Montana during April and May.
The film is casting not only extras and background actors, but 40 to 50 supporting roles. Flanders said he is looking for “people who really feel like they’re from Montana.”
The shoot began for a week in Lincoln in order to establish the winter scenes.
The film was written and is being directed by Tony Stone, and produced by Matt Flanders. Casting is by Jennifer Venditti.
The film stars Sharlto Copley (District 9, Maleficent, Elysium, The A-Team).
