Kalispell memory blocks help raise money for 4H programs

Posted: Updated:

KALISPELL - Visitors to the Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo will notice more than 700 memory blocks that have been installed into the walkway of the south entrance of the grandstand area.

The memory blocks were installed by students and 4H members and can include engravings honoring individuals or businesses.

Fair Manager Mark Campbell says one of the biggest successes of the fair is the livestock sale, which raised more than more than $138,000 in revenue from the 260 livestock.

"All of those funds go to the 4H Foundation which then get used for good support programs for the 4H community. Gets the kids to trainings and to leadership roles where they can build themselves as better citizens," Campbell said.

Memory bricks are still available for $100 and can contain three lines of text with 20 characters per line.
