Several fireworks shows are set to celebrate Independence Day in the Bitterroot Valley.
Once again this year fireworks will light up the sky in Florence on the 4th of July.
The Florence Volunteer Fire Department is hosting their annual July 4th community potluck dinner and fireworks show beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday at the Florence Community Park.
There will be free hotdogs and hamburgers as well as potluck dishes brought in by members of the Florence community and community organizations. Folks are encouraged to bring in a favorite side dish and or dessert.
Prior to the 10:15 p.m. fireworks show, there will be a raffle, music, games and activities for everyone’s enjoyment. The event is free and everyone is invited to attend.

The 2018 City of Hamilton 4th of July fireworks display will be held at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds beginning at approximately 10 p.m.
It should be noted that there is currently road construction taking place on Fairgrounds Road with traffic only running one way -- to the east. Parking is available at the First Interstate Event Center parking lot, the South softball fields, the fairgrounds north parking lot and alongside Fairgrounds Road.
The Ravalli County Fairgrounds main gate will be open for those wishing to sit on the grass or in a lawn chair inside the fairgrounds. Seating will also available in the grandstands.
Finally, Stevensville is hosting an all-day event on the 4th of July that will be capped off with a fireworks show. The fireworks will begin at 10:30 p.m. in Lewis and Clark Park.
