KALISPELL - Glacier National Park Conservancy has announced that Smith’s Food & Drug Centers in Columbia Falls and Kalispell will sponsor “Round-Up for Glacier.” Running now through July 30 customers will be asked to “round-up” their grocery bill to support field trips to Glacier National Park. All donations will fund transportation to Glacier National Park for local schools with limited travel budgets.

MISSOULA - The Missoula City Band is happy to announce its summer concert series for 2018. A performance will be held each Wednesday evening at the Bonner Park band shell on the corner of Ronald and Hastings streets. All concerts are free and open to the public.

HAMILTON - Bitter Root Back Country Horsemen (BRBCH) and the Bitterroot National Forest are partnering on a trail clean-up project. It will take place from July 6 - July 8 at the Boulder Creek Trail #617 on the West Fork Ranger District.  The group will do general trail maintenance including clearing blow down, cleaning water bars, cutting and removing brush along the trail and general repairs.  

CLINTON - Montana State Parks is hosting Be Bear Aware: Educating the Public about Bear Safety at Beavertail Hill State Park on Saturday, July 7 at 7 p.m. Join Chuck Bartlebaugh has spent more than 30 years traveling across North America and Canada photographing and monitoring bears.  He also keeps track of how people get into trouble with bears, and what is needed to change this problem.

LINCOLN - Join Lincoln's Community Hall as they celebrate Lincoln's 100th year on July 7 and July 8. This will include displays, demonstrations, a bake-off and more! Call (406) 362-4444 for more info.

DRUMMOND - The 76th annual Drummond Kiwanis Rodeo is scheduled to bolt from the chute on July 8. A pancake breakfast will be held at the Valley District Firehouse at 6 a.m. with the rodeo parade starting at 12 p.m. and the PRCA Rodeo kicking off at 2 p.m. Click here for more information.

ALBERTON - The boat slide launch at Cyr Bridge Fishing Access Site on the Clark Fork River will be repaired July 10 and July 11, making boater access difficult or impossible during that time. Cyr is the main launch site for the popular Alberton Gorge whitewater section of the Clark Fork River.

MISSOULA - Early childhood professionals can explore language and literacy skills in an outdoor environment. Child Care Resources will also create three play-based activities that focus on language and literacy engagement outdoors. The class in on July 12 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The training costs $11. More info here.

HAMILTON - The Bitter Root Resource Conservation and Development Area, Inc. will hold its July first-time home-buyers class. The July 14 class will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bitterroot Valley Board of REALTORS™ building in Hamilton. Any first-time home buyers will benefit from taking the class and it is a requirement for most government loans. Call (406) 363-5450 for more info or to reserve a spot.

MISSOULA - Hellgate Roller Derby will take on a mashup team of skaters from around Montana in their second home bout of the season. The event will be held at the Missoula County Fairgrounds Outdoor Event Arena on Saturday, July 14.
